Bright Idea – Digital Teacher’s Resource Pack

This is a lovely song for young children in Reception and Key Stage 1 (Kindergarten and First Grade).

It tells the story of being at your grandparents house, feeling bored. Then imagining being different animals – and before you know it it’s dinner time and you’ve had loads of fun!

It is easy to learn and the actions are simple and lots of fun animals – monkey, elephant, kangaroo. This pack includes a great whiteboard film of the song showing split-screen format of how the children can play three percussion instrument parts, and includes me (Al Start) singing and signing the song with the lyrics underneath. Great for both classroom and assembly. The teaching notes suggest how to get the most from the pack.

No musical ability needed to teach this song – just plug and play and the children will do the rest!
