Sing! Play! Learn! with Go Kid Music” brings you 12 excellent songs that teachers and children will love! Based on popular Key Stage 1 topics, these catchy tunes enable primary class teachers to teach music while supporting learning across the whole curriculum.

Each song comes with an easy-to-follow teaching video with on-screen lyrics and demonstrations of Makaton signs, performance and backing audio, PDF lyrics for whiteboard display and teaching notes. In addition, many have optional percussion parts, which are also demonstrated on the videos, and there’s a selection of warm-ups and focus-builders to get everyone ready for singing!

Written with the generalist class teacher in mind, the accompanying notes are divided into three main sections:

Al is available to bring her music, singing and songwriting to your school. If you’re a teacher at a mainstream school, a deaf school or a special school and you’d like to know more, please get in touch. Below are some ideas of what we offer and some guide prices.

School Membership
Our ground-breaking online membership gives primary schools unlimited access to our entire (growing) collection of topic-based songs, teaching videos for whiteboard and all the accompanying teaching resources. Singing Assemblies 
Al can lead whole school, year group or Key Stage assemblies, teach original songs with sign language, and inject fun and enthusiasm into singing. Songs can be tailored to fit topic work, or just aimed at the ability of the children. These can be one-off or regular sessions. Prices start from £60 per one-off session, special offers for block bookings.

Arts Week
How can you include music in your arts delivery? Al can come to your school and write songs with whole classes or larger groups. Live performances, pop videos, or even ‘rock school’ type band arrangements can add another dimension to topic work or arts week events . One-off half day fee from £120. Whole day from £200. Prices vary to suit length of project, get in touch for details.

Three Excellent Little Pigs Puppet Show
Our new show fits perfectly into the Traditional Tales/Fairy Tales KS1 Topic and goes down a treat at any time of year. Lasting 45 minutes with an optional ‘show & tell, meet the puppets’ session after the show where children can learn a song and see how the puppets were made. Price starts at £200 depending on travel costs.

A Pirate Adventure Show
Perfect for topic work or a special treat. This Key Stage 1, 60 minute performance is a rip-roaring musical adventure involving audience participation all the way – problem-solving, co-operation, singing and actions and a few volunteers to help get messy!

Interactive Whiteboard Music Teaching Resources
Al has filmed a collection of her topic-based songs and turned them into individual downloads of song videos with signs and simple instrumental and percussion parts, perfect for music lessons at school. Topic Work Songwriting
Bring your classes topic to life by inviting Al for a songwriting workshop. She can write a song with the class about your topic, and then record and/or film it as we perform to the rest of the school and parents & carers. Past songwriting topics have included ‘The Great Fire of London’  ‘Mini Beasts’  ‘Tudors’  ‘The Water Cycle’  ‘Pirates’.

All music and singing sessions are designed to be as inclusive as possible. Al has 20+ years experience of working creatively and inclusively with children and young people with and without disabilities, challenging behaviour, and with both deaf and hearing groups. Al uses both Makaton and British Sign Language, can work with mixed ability groups from pre-school age up to adults. Please email Al for further details.

One-to-One Teaching 
Occasionally Al is asked if she can teach guitar, ukulele, singing or songwriting to individuals. The answer is…“Occasionally….But now that Go Kid Music is a growing business I can’t find much time for one-to-one teaching. That is why I am uploading a series of videos to teach you one-to-one but from your computer screen at a time that suits you – for FREE!
